Buying iphone overseas

I live in the US, and purchased my iphone 14 there in November 2021. I'm currently traveling in Italy and my phone no longer works. My applecare replacement plan has expired, so I need a new phone. I will be Italy and then the Netherlands for the next week or so. Can I purchase a phone from a nearby Apple store and have my account/data transferred seamlessly, or is it that simple of a process? Thoughts? Thanks in advance.

The first stumbling block will be that an iPhone purchased in Italy (or anywhere else in Europe) will have no warranty when you return to the U.S.

Another way to say the same thing.....Apple does not offer an "international" warranty.

Maybe you could find a simple inexpensive phone to use for the next week or so before you return to the U.S.
