adding url to shortcuts

When I try to add a URL to shortcuts (+ Add Action, URL), “apple.com” is the url that is added. How can I paste or type my own URL. Thanks

New internet link replaces current tab instead of creating a new I run macOS latest version. I am new to Safari, used Edge before. When clicking on a bookmark in Edge it opens a new tab which is kept until I close it. In Safari it replaces the current link in the tab. I would like an Internet address regardless och opened with a bookmark och manually entered address to be kept in a new tab. Is this possible?

safari 18 lost the ability to drag URL to folder Since upgrading to Safari 18 and then to Safari 18.0.1, I cannot drag a URL to a folder. Before, all I had to do was to grab the icon to the left of the URL address field and drag it to any folder. This doesn't work anymore except on rare occasions with Apple sites. I am now using Google Chrome to be able to perform such operation. What is going on with Apple ?
