Issue: There seems to be some misguided help when trying to access Apple Pay Card history on the Mac through the Apple Wallet option in the settings.

I strongly disagree.
That article tells you multiple methods for viewing transactions, because there are multiple ways to set up and use Apple Card and Apple wallet.
That article does NOT promise you that you can view any and all transaction on your Mac, regardless of whether you ever used it as a payment method on your Mac. If you have never set up Apple Pay and Apple wallet on your Mac, you will likely NOT be able to view transactions on your Mac
These articles are written and reviewed by mathematical thinkers. You must be careful never to read any more into them what is literally spelled out in the article.
