Reminders app search function is not reliability returning results. On occasion it works fine. Others like just know 0 results even for words I can see are there. Have had this issue a couple of months just now ‘searching’ for an answer/fix.

I have attached screenshots of examples of searching for a reminder that clearly exists but 0 results returned.
I found that the test searching function of the reminders is not working. I can not find the reminder when I type the key words on the top of search row. May I know how to fix it ? Now I only can search the items by # key words only. All my past reminders could not be shorted out
Thank you for reply. I tried just that type of search (spotlight) without success. Usually I am searching from the main screen of reminders that shows all categories (today, scheduled, all, flagged). I am on iOS 16.5. As I said before I have had this issue for couple of months but it comes and goes. This morning the issue persistes. I just added a test reminder I have found a new reminder shows up when I search (within reminders app main screen) for it. A new reminder also shows up in a spotlight search. It’s seems older reminders are not showing up in either search function. Could there be some kind of setting or cloud backup/saving that is not allowing older reminders in a search??? I have many repeating reminders.
Mine started after my iPhone 12 mini updated to 17.1.1 a few days ago. Searching in reminders on my iPad still on 16.7.2 still works fine.
One use is for my grocery list and I search for completed and add them back, but they're not coming up in search!
I’ve had this same problem 4 or 5 times across multiple iOS/iPadOS versions. My fix has always been creating new empty folders with the same names, moving all items to the new folders and deleting the old folders. Tedious to do but I’ve never had it resolve on its own.
Probably you are not scrolling down.

Add me to this list. Same problem on my iPad. Once in a while, it works. Most of the time it does not. I cannot find a pattern or a reason. Very frustrating.
The iPhone 14 Pro problem solved after I upgraded it to IOS 17. You may try it
