No permission to empty trash
There is a folder (no files) in my Mac trash that says I do not have permission to delete it. How do I delete it?
Thanks

You can try creating a new folder on your Desktop and drag and drop the problem folder into it—delete that.
No resolve try deleting your folder from a Safeboot, login and try again

Update: Since I was getting nowhere with this being a software issue, I took the Mac in to have it checked and to my surprise the hard drive portion of the Fusion Drive was going bad. Although the machine is only 5 years old, mechanical parts like the hard drive can go bad in this time frame. So, the repair shop is replacing the hard drive with an SSD not linked to the SSD portion of the fusion drive. This will eliminate my previous issue.
Thanks again to those with suggestions for me to try.
Did you already try to follow these steps If you need permission to open an item on Mac - Apple Support ?
Thanks for the feedback. I tried to create a new folder and drag the problem folder to it but I can't do that either because I don't have permission too drag the problem folder to it. I will try the Safe mode and let you know.

Deleting the folder in Safe mode did not work either. I either get the message the folder (no file?) is in use or I don’t have permission to delete it. Any additional suggestions would be most appreciated.

Yes, and no change. Thanks for the feedback.
