Hi Minnie-Pinkie,

There's important relevant information on this topic included in the article Use subtitles and captioning in the Apple TV app. The steps you're asking about from that article are:

"Customize your subtitles and captions

  1. In Settings in the Apple TV app , go to Accessibility > Subtitles and Captioning > Style.
  2. Choose an existing caption style, or create a new style based on your choice of:
    • Font, size, and color
    • Background color and opacity
    • Text opacity, edge style, and highlight"

However, please also note:

"Note: Not all videos include closed captions. This feature may be disabled on devices that already include built-in closed captioning. See your device’s user guide for more information."

If your Roku includes built-in closed captioning, those options would not be expected to be available, and you would need to consult with Roku regarding captioning options on their product.

Regards.
