Syncing photos/clips with iCloud

Hello,

I can't turn on syncing pictures with iCloud because of the error: photos and videos synced from finder will be removed. then there is information about 13 612 pictures and videos that will be removed. this is odd since when I plugged the phone into the computer and copied all available data it was couple thousands, less than 10k for sure. so the question is how can I keep those pictures and videos and have syncing with iCloud turned on?

Why aren't my photos and videos showing inside my DCIM folders My phone is full of storage (about 25 gigs of photos and videos ) and I want to transfer most of it to my harddrive. But when i check "apple iPhone" on my pc ,the DCIM won't show any photos or videos. I looked it up and reset location privacy, showed hidden thumbnails, cleared caches, turned on icloud photos, but only videos and photos i take right now will show up in the DCIM folders. I don't know if I should have "download and keep originals" or "optimize phone storage "or if that is even part of the problem but I cant seem to figure out why they are not showing.

Slow to view iCloud Photos being synced I am syncing an iPhone to iCloud photos. I do not yet see any of the photos. Will the entire sync need to complete before I do?
