I have contacted the police already and there already is an investigation. I cannot even find the new password on my MacBook via keychain, even though I'm getting these "application passwords" this showed up after I had removed my iCloud, after getting my imei number, from my stolen 12 mini. any useful help? is it possible to call up and try and solve this? please help.

First, Apple does not become involved in loss or thefts. So reporting it to Apple is a waste of time; however, you should report it to your carrier immediately, they may be able to blacklist it.

The question is: how were the thieves able to gain access? Did they know your Apple ID and password? If so, you need to change both immediately. If you had any personal info stored, contact your bank and report the theft and ask for a new credit card cancelling the old one. Also change every password for every site.
