Why Apple weather app is inaccurate

The Apple weather app give a wrong and inaccurate information about the weather in my city. So I have to use a 3rd party app to get a right information. Hopefully the Apple company know about it and fix it in a next updates!

Actually, right in the Weather app is the best place to report the inaccuracy where it says "Report an Issue". When you tap on that, you describe the current conditions, and that along with your anonymized location is sent to Apple so they can figure out what data source is currently being used there and better understand the inaccuracy. At least that is the intent so they can get the real time data. That is not going to be possible on the reportaproblem website.

The “Feels like” reading for my area in the UK is so inaccurate it is amusing. It appears to deduct between c. 8° C and 11° C from the actual temperature to produce the feels like temperature. And that’s regardless of wind speed.

Lately it showed a 9° C with a -1° C feels like. The official Met Office’s reading for the same time showed 10° C with a 6° C feels like.

And this calculation is so simple a toddler could do it. It relies on taking the ambient temperature, the relative humidity and the wind speed. That’s all! Yet Apple can’t get it right.

I’d love to start another thread on this but I’m too old and cranky now to work out how to do it.

But I’ve finally got a response of mine published - in particular to this subject.

On three previous occasions my responses have been rejected by Apple’s censors. I’ve used no profanity, posted no pics nor been abusive. I’ve simply stated comments that we all are irritated by.

I made one about this weather app. Rejected.

I made one about this forum submission basis and the simple lack of use of automated caps where they’re positioning on AI wonders.

and I made one on their censorship. Oh the caps thing has happened again. Surprise.

let’s see if this one gets through.
