How to lock apps so they can’t be accidentally deleted

I keep accidentally deleting apps.

iOS 16.5

The recommended fix does NOT work.

“Settings/screen time/content and privacy restrictions/iTunes and AppStore purchases/deleting apps/do not allow” does NOT work.

Doesn’t matter if “do not allow” is selected, apps will still shake and present the minus symbol as normal, if the screen is held down, and delete as normal.

How can apps be locked so if the screen is accidentally held down they won’t shake and present the minus symbol?
