iMessages won’t work

I just restarted my whole iPad because I forgot my password but then I try to sign in to iMessages and it won’t work because it says put your username and password in the box and I did that and I even had my parents double check it because I didn’t know he was right and they said yep that’s the right password and then I hit sign in and then it says I have to do something with FaceTime and I don’t know what to do and I really tried it and really tried it.

We understand that you're having issues signing into iMessage on your iPad. Can you tell us what the message stated that mentioned FaceTime? That might help us in find the right solution.

You could try checking FaceTime in your settings to see if it's signed in and sign out if needed. Once that's done, try signing into iMessage again, and then sign back into FaceTime.

Settings > FaceTime > Move the slider next to FaceTime to either the OFF or ON position.
