Why does my iPhone volume automatically goes down when I open camera or Snapchat?

What do you mean the volume automatically goes down? For example, are you listening to some sort of audio and it stops when you open the Camera and Snapchat applications?

If so, the reason for that is because you're opening an application that uses the camera and microphones for audio. If you were to take a video in the Camera or Snapchat app, the audio that was playing on the device would interfere with the ability to record audio in the video, hence it stops audio playback when you open those type of apps.

What app are you using to listen to music (Spotify, Apple Music, etc.)?

We were able to test this in Apple Music and the music does pause when taking a video in the Camera app, but starts playing again after closing the app. When taking a photo, the music still played.
