Cannot remove old eSIM

after upgrade to ios 16.5, my iPhone 13 pro started working weirdly.

  • physical sim does not connect to a network if esim is enabled
  • esim is not connecting at all (i tried two of them)
  • cannot delete any of the esims. I tried to reset the esim/network settings/reboot of course/airplane mode. Nothing. Nada. It’s obviously a bug.

apple, please take a look. It’s critical

Apple may or may not read postings here.

Here is how to remove an eSIM: How to erase the eSIM on your iPhone - Apple Support

If that eSIM deletion is not working, then contact Apple Support, using the Support link in the lower left corner of this webpage, and chat or call Apple as available.

Whether this is a software bug or a hardware failure or some part of a very complex device got severely confused is something Apple will have to determine.
