When I shoot videos on my iPhone, the exposure looks good. But when I view them through the "Photos" app on my MacBook Pro, or when I airdrop the video from my phone to my MBP and view it, the exposure is way off, and the highlights are all blown out

My strong intuition suggests that the video in question was recorded using a third-party application on an iPhone or viewed through a third-party application on a Mac.
The pic below on my iPhone iOS 16.5 and my MacBook Pro Ventura macOS 13.4 says it all.
No 3rd party apps involved. I hot the video on my iPhone, and just Airdropped the video to my MacBook Pro's Downloads folder, and launched it in Quicktime.
