I have a MacBook Air. I bought a cd/dvd player to install software from disks for school and work. I connected the player to the computer through a hub and put the disk in the player and nothing but an icon comes up. I try to click the .exe file to install the software, but nothing happens. How can I get the software to install?
ArcGIS appears to be Windows only.
If you have an Intel MacBook Air, you can install Windows in BOOTCAMP or use a virtualization package such as Parallels, VMWare, or VirtualBox.
.exe files are Windows executables. They won't run on a Mac.
Ask the developer of the software.
What software is it, exactly?
I’ve clicked on all the files and none open. It says it’s for Mac and pc. Everything I’ve read says to click the exe file. If not, then which file am I looking for?
