New MacBook M2 Pro not fully synching iMessage
I purchase a new 2023 MBP 16" M2 Pro 2 days, set and restoring from Time Machine went well but now I have a problem where iMessage isn't fully synching on the MBP. Imessage works perfectly on my iPhone 14 Pro and iPad Air, it's only the new MBP having issues. It seems like it will randomly synch though, I can send messages from the MBP. If I send a message to my own phone number it shows up on all 3 devices, but new messages are not making it to the MBP.
On the MBP I've tried signing out and back in with my Apple ID, I've verified that my phone #/email(Apple ID)/iCloud email are selected and the iPhone is set as the send-from device. I've rebooted and tried closing and opening the iMessage app. On the iPhone I've verified the ph#/email/iCloud are set the same, same Apple ID is logged on, I've tried turning iMessage off and on.
On a side note on my last 2019 MBP I would never get audible notifications when messages came in. I'd like to ensure that feature also works on this new MBP.
