unless you restrict all content, try:
Open mail app select Mail>Settings>Privacy enable: “Block all remote content”
report back your success or failure...
The "Block All Remote Content" option is not available (greyed out) if you have selected the "Protect Mail Activity" option. I guess this is because "Protect Mail Activity" is seen as a more all-inclusive privacy feature. I want to stop the animations/videos because they are annoying, not so much for privacy.
