WhatsApp backup stuck on 20% on iPhone

i tried backing up my whatsapp chat but then it got stuck at 20% so i deleted whatsapp and reinstalled it but its still stuck at 20% what can i do ?

Do you have enough free space in iCloud and your iPhone to create the backup? You will need temporarily up to 3x more free space than the final size of the backup.

Also make sure, that the phone is being charged, connected to Wi-Fi, and not actively used during the time of the backup.

Hey there,

Your iPhone might be stuck in a bit of a loop with the WhatsApp backup. Have you tried restarting your iPhone? Sometimes a simple restart can help clear out any temporary glitches. Give it a shot and see if that resolves the issue.

If you deleted the Whatsapp app you no longer have any data to back up.

All gone.

Yes restart the phone as suggested

Can you turn off backup ? Then turn it on again ?
