Microsoft RDP Not Working on M2 Mac running Windows 11 and Parallels 18

I have a business application that runs on Windows RDP from a Windows desktop. I have purchased an M2 notebook and have installed Parallels 18 to run Windows 11 Pro. I have been able to navigate using both OSs well. When I try to connect to the remote computer using Remote Desktop, I receive the following message and error code.

"There was a problem connecting to the remote resource. Ask your network administrator for help. Error code: 0x3000008; Extended error code 0x0; Timestamp ....."

As I can connect to other networks via the web, I am not sure what setting needs to be changed. I have confirmed that the RDP connection works on older Macs using Parallels 18 and Windows 11.

I have been in contact with Parallels and Microsoft about this issue, but no luck on this.

I'm confused. If you're trying to connect using RDP to a remote computer, why install Windows in Parallels on your Mac? Why not just download the Microsoft Remote Desktop Client for macOS from the Mac App Store? It's free. I use it constantly to connect to remote servers.

That said, Windows 11 ARM is a beta. It is not intended for use in production environments and you're extremely unlikely to get any help from Microsoft on this.

A background application on the PC connects through RDP to the remote computer, which is used to run various programs. We can connect using RDP on the Mac version, but it does not connect to the back-end programs loaded in Windows on my Mac and has limited capability.

On your last point, I am thinking this is the issue. But since Apple and Microsoft are saying you can run Windows 11 using Parallels on an M1 or M2 Apple machine, you would think it would have all features available. RDP is a standard Windows application.

Thanks for the help.

Thanks for the response. It seems strange that the same ARM version on an Intel Mac runs RDP fine with Windows 11, but when installed on a M1 or M2 machine using RDP causes an error. Doesn't make sense that there would be 2 different versions of ARM installs for different machines. I get that the architecture between Silicon and Intel is different, but if Parallels and Apple are saying you can Win 11, then it should be work.
