MAIL App problem on Ventura OS

In the Mail app of Mac Ventura, the default font value, for example Helvetica 16, does not activate automatically when composing a new message. You need to first hide the toolbar and then show it again to activate the default font. Did you ever note this problem ? Any solution ?

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 10.14

Yes, I have.

I have tried on 2 different Macs Ventura 13.4.1 (22F82) and I got the same problem:

Default font set on HELVETICA 16 (Mail > Preferences > Font and Colors)

New message (not reply to)

On the top bar I get Arial 12 - Hide the top bar - View the Top bar

Now you have the default font.

Try to change your default font and try.

Thanks
