My MacBook Pro is making a clicking noise randomly when touching any part of the frame

I got this MacBook around two months ago (refurbished) and it started making this clicking noise whenever I touched the outer frame. More recently, it started to happen more often and I was worried something was detached or loose inside of the MacBook. When I went into the Apple Store, they said they couldn’t do anything or run diagnostics because the MacBook was running macOS Sonoma (developer beta). So I could either give them the MacBook so they could ship it out, erase everything (I had a backup and it was under warranty), and then hopefully repair whatever was broken and send it to me after a week (I use it every day and I don’t have another another computer), or walk out of the store with nothing to show for my broken computer. Please advise.

Why beta...(?)

Uninstall the Beta an take it back— refurbs have the same 1-yr warranty for hardware issues as brand new.

Let Apple tell you what the issue is. The Mac should not be making noise.

Unenroll Your Devices

Apple Beta — Unenroll Your Devices

revert and Restore Shipping Software:

Apple Beta — Restore Shipping Software

The current stable release of Sonoma including bug fixes, security updates is macOS 14.2
