16.5.1 update and Lightning to USB 3 Camera Adapter

Hi! I updated my iphone to the latest iOS and I still can't get a charge via the USB 3 Camera Adapter. Is anyone experiencing that?

Go buy a new adapter. Yours was likely killed by 16.5.

16.5 broke the hardware in my adapter. After installing 16.5.1 the adapter would work for about 30 seconds then stop working. If I unplugged the adapter and plugged it back in iOS would say that the accessory is not supported. This same behavior occurred on three different devices with one device on 15.7.7. Performed resets on all devices same behavior. This adapter was purchased a week before 16.5 was released and worked fine until 16.5.

I was powering this with with a USB A port prior to 16.5, after 16.5 was released it would not work when powered by a USB A port, but I was able to get it to work with USB C port power. This caused the adapter to become much hotter than normal and after about 2 hours it no longer worked on USB C port power.

I bought a new adapter, it immediately said it needed to be updated. After updating the adapter it has been moved continuously between the three different devices for six hours with no errors or halts in changing. Apple should be providing free replacement adapters for those that were broken by 16.5.
