iPhone X software update error after iOS 16.5 on wifi.

After updating to iOS 16.5, my iPhone X throws an error when looking for software updates while on Wi-Fi:

Unable to Check for Update

An error occurred while checking for a software update.

However, when I turn on my mobile data and check for software updates it works fine the same goes for when I turn on VPN while connected to my Wi-Fi.

Updates over Wi-Fi are always smaller in size as compared to the iOS update via a computer.

Wireless iOS updates only replace new parts or the iOS software, whereas an iOS update on your computer will always download and install the complete software package.

Did you try to download the software onto your Mac first and install it as a second step? You should get to choose this option, before downloading the update.

That way you can make sure, that the software has been downloaded without any issues. Disconnecting and connecting the phone again will let you install the iOS software afterwards.

As mentioned I am trying to update my iPhone using my Mac but there is a bit of an issue as the after:

(on Mac)

iOS device(in finder) > check for update > prompts for confirmation and agreement > Asks to enter the pass-code on my iPhone to continue and that my iPhone will verify the update.

(On iPhone)

The device displays a badge saying verifying update and then a passcode screen appears behind it. After a while it throws an error saying the update can't be installed and gives options to either "Try Again" or "Remind Me Later" If I choose "Try Again" it aborts the process and the passcode screen behind it goes away, however, if I choose "Remind Me Later", it lets me enter the passcode and I see the update being downloaded on my Mac.

The problem is that the update size on my iPhone showed to be just over 200 MB but on my Mac, it's downloading an update with the size of 6.17 GB.
