Hello. I just lost my phone which had an ios 16.5 recently installed and after lossing it i was able to erase it remotely but to my supllies the device has dissapeared from my find my app in the phone and i cant no longer see it or track it….

Don'ts

If the device is removed from an account after it is erased, Activation Lock will be turned off. This allows another person to turn on and use the device.

An example of my iPhone 5 is given in the GIF below. There is no "Undo" after you remove it from your account.

You do understand that if the battery has run down or the phone does not have a connection to the Internet where it is currently located......that the phone will not appear on the Find My map, correct?

Unfortunately, there is not really anything that you can do about this except check a few times each day to see if the status of the phone has changed.

You may be confused here.

If the phone is powered off, it can still appear in Find My.....IF....the battery is still good and the phone can connect to the Internet at its current location.

But.....If the battery has run down, the phone can't operate at all. And, if the phone does not have an Internet connection, it can't appear in Find My either, even if the battery is OK.

So the bottom line here is that 2 things are required for the phone to be able to appear in Find My.

1) The battery is OK and has not run down

2) The phone has a current connection to the Internet where it is located

When both conditions are met, the phone appears in Find My.
