Have you considered that the "Last Used Settings" are going to waste a lot of paper and ink because people will forget to turn color off, or other special settings off before the next print job.
Also, there are times when MacOS doesn't give you a Printer Dialog page. It just prints!
( think Finder... select or preview a document... then hit CMD-P )
Bottom Line is: We'd like to change some setting, and then make those become the Default.
The "Default" vs "Last Used Settings" option is sticky meaning persists every time the Print Dialog invokes (until you change it).
So one solution would be to allow Presets in the "sticky" list.
- Default
- User User Preset XXX
- Last Used Settings
Or another solution would be to allow users to simply change the sticky "Default"
