My iPhone with IOS16.5.1 does not show plant ID option in info. It has never shown it even since iOS 15. My iPad shows it. Very frustrating.

Your post shows an iPhone 8 Plus, that would be too old for this feature.

A friend with an iPhone 13 Pro can read information about plants photographed, and once I could, too. He is updated to iOS 18. I have iPhone 15 Pro Max with 18.1 but photo does not give me information about plants, or whatever.
In iOS18.1 to activate the info icon on photos do this Settings>Search>Search and Lookup> Turn on: Show related Content.
When you go to a photo and click on the INFO icon it will now display content related to that image eg. Type of flower etc
Does anyone else have this problem or know how to fix it?
Thanks Ralf, that applies to the original poster, but not mine. The function used to be there on my iphone XR but seems to have disappeared somewhere in the last few updates.
Thanks, Ralf-F, I searched and searched in Apple Support, and this never came up. I did wonder about that as I did see only certain iPad models were supported.

17.6.1 is the iOS I have and I do not have plant id anymore. Please fix.
I used to use the bug and plant lookup frequently but it no longer gives the option. Hope that option comes back soon! Let us know if we just have to change some settings to get the option back.
