Clear Out the Debris:

How to clean your AirPods and EarPods - Apple Support. Use a toothpick to remove debris. Slightly insett it, seeing what you can remove. If need be, have someone hold a magnifying glass over it, ot lay it atop the counter. Set if you and move it.
