Icloud lock

I previously bought a apple ipad pro 11 but it has icloud lock on. I send an apple request but they are asking me to provide proof of regional recipients. There is no way I have that so I asked apple if they could help me contact the previous owner of the ipad because it was bought it through market place and the person who sold to me has left the chat. But, apple responded to me that they cannot do anything...I was felt with questions, anger, hopeless and disappointment of how Apple's icloud lock policy...

Hello David_Daniell,

Unfortunately there is nothing Apple can do. There is no proof you legitimately purchased this iPad (that is the position Apple is in). An Activation Lock is placed in order to prevent loss or stolen devices from being repurposed. The person who sold you the iPad should've followed - What to do before you sell, give away, or trade in your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support. Only the original iPad owner can remove the Activation Lock. As stated, Apple can but they need proof of purchase.

Your only hope is getting in contact with the buyer. This is why I always recommend buying from a legitimate company / seller, such as Apple, Best Buy, and other brands.

I hope this helps!
