No one outside of Apple knows what plans - if any - they have to support any particular camera. But according to this article
Digital camera RAW formats supported by iOS 16, iPadOS 16, and macOS Ventura - Apple Support
the following OM-5 are supported.

I wondered about that. There is nothing strange except Apple are slow to add raw support and basically it does not seem to be a priority for them
Options: convert your raws to DNG with Adobe's free converter or use and app that has it's own raw support, independent of Apple

Hopefully the camera will be added later with a new update.
Keep your fingers crossed. Apple does not support each and every new camera model, particularly, if the sensor has changed considerably. If you need RAW support from Apple, it is much safer to wait until the RAW support has been released, before buying a camera.
Yes. No. The trick would be convert prior to importing them.

Your option is still a good suggestion, but again an extra operation instead of being able to download directly.
Not one of them is OM-5, different camera's from "old brand" Olympus.
It's strange because they supported for sure all ready OM-1
I did not realize Apple was so slow in updating its raw support in Photos. Very frustrating.
Can Photos read the DNG format? Can Adobe's converter read a Photos library?
