Sony A7CII raw image support

Apple engineers are not here. We're all end users like yourself. Tell Apple what missing features you'd like restored or new features added in Photos via Feedback - Photos - Apple and also ask Sony as they have to provide the info to Apple so it can add support.

They have finally added the support for 7C II , after a year!

It is only shown in the list for the United States, not yet in the list for Germany, for example: RAW-Formate von Digitalkameras, die iOS 17, iPadOS 17, macOS Sonoma und visionOS unterstützt werden - Apple Support (DE)

I checked the lists for the United Kingdom or India, and none is showing the RAW support for this camera.

But the installed RAW Support on my Mac is already showing the camera, even with the region set to Germany.

Half a year later, and the camera is still not supported on Sonoma and iOS17.

It is not a question of "When" but "if". Not every camera model will receive RAW support by Apple. If a camera model does not get RAW support within a year after the camera has been on the market, it will probably never be supported. But the Sony A7CII is still relatively new, so there is hope, that the Sony A7C series will also be supported. . Keep your fingers crossed.

Apple typically does not preannounce raw support for new cameras. We users just find out that it happens when a system version is released that includes it.

A7CII Sensor and RAW file structure is the same like from A7IV. There is no reason to not add support of it.

A7cii, No wonder I can not see my Raw images in my iPhone. they seem blank and it’s very frustrating….

Please fix this Apple, it's been months and months.

They're basically the same as A7IV files. Making Finder read them should be simple.

I never had an issue viewing RAW from the original A7C

Please support A7C2 raw on next update ...its important for all users!!!
