Strange unread message?

On my messages app, there's an unread message from a most likely scam email that I got a while ago and never clicked into the message to delete. Now it's stuck in my messages menu! Please help me find a way to remove this...

have a spam email or a phishing attempt that will not delete I got an email and for the sender it says "no sender". Everything I have tried to delete it does not work. I swiped the email and hit delete-didn't work. I deleted it with the delete key-didn't work. I deleted it with right click-didn't work. Anyone have any suggestions???? liz liz

What do symbols next to mail messages in Apple Mail mean? We have noticed tiny little symbols next to some messages which somehow have placed in Apple Mail's "Junk" folder. I believe the international circle with a line through it means the sender is blocked, which makes on wonder why I even see the message at all, if it is blocked, it shouldn't be there. The other looks to me like a coffee cup with an "x" in the cup part. Does anyone know what this might mean? I thought perhaps it was an option to immediately trash it, but if I click on it, Mail just opens the message. [Re-Titled by Moderator]

"No sender" blank emails ? HUH? Suddenly, today I find a bunch of emails saying "no sender", with headers looking like my actual emails I'd even read , and coincidentally after going to a gov. site ? I cant delete them? How is that possible? Next thing I see is Malwarebytes asking me to run a scan?? What? I've never had this before. Theres nothing in the email, theres no sender showing, and they wont delete? How is this possible?

Nevermind. I solved it, turned out I could use my old MacBook and clear the message from there and it fixed it.
