Since Updating my iOS two days back to latest update. I am unable to update my watch, Unable to check ios update from my iPhone and unable to send any text message as SMS.

Despite turning on and Off, restoring network and resetting phone with my MAC. I am unable to check for latest updates for my phone as well as my Watch.

Plus Unable to send any Text messages. Only iMessage works but normal SMS is FAILED TO BE SENT.

I have tried everything. But despite trying all tips, nothing works. I have changed wifi networks. Tried on Cellular network. Restored and Reset after deleting everything. Nothings seems to be working. Please help

I can Make calls, receive Calls, receive texts but I just can not send any text

Hi MAtifJ,

From your post there are a couple of issues occurring here:

1) Unable to update your Apple Watch

2) Unable to send or receive SMS messages

For the first issue, If you see 'Unable to Verify Update' when updating Apple Watch - Apple Support has some great steps. While a bit different than what you're experiencing, they're good general steps to try when you're unable to update your Apple Watch.

Regarding the inability to send SMS messages, this is a cellular feature and a component of your service plan with your carrier. From If you can't send or receive messages on your iPhone or iPad:

"If you still need help

  • Try to restart your iPhone or iPad.
  • Check your network connection. To send a message as iMessage or MMS, you need a cellular data or Wi-Fi connection. To send an SMS message, you need cellular network connection. If you turn on Wi-Fi Calling, you can send SMS messages over Wi-Fi.
  • Check with your carrier to see if the type of message you’re trying to send, like MMS or SMS, is supported.
  • If you’re trying to send group MMS messages on an iPhone, go to Settings > Messages and turn on MMS Messaging. If you don't see an option to turn on MMS Messaging or Group Messaging on your iPhone, then your carrier might not support this feature.
  • Make sure that your device has enough space to receive images and videos.
  • Make sure that you entered the correct phone number or email address for the contact....

Contact your carrier if you still can't receive SMS messages"

Regards.

SMS issue resolved after Resetting my phone

Still Unable to Update my phone and Watch.

I have followed all steps. Resetting, Using computer to reset. Update fails every time

I have checked my internet connection, rather used three different connections. Followed all steps explained in various discussions. Nothings works. Just unable to Update. The above mentioned message comes up everytime for both Watch and my phone.
