I just recently upgraded to the 14 pro max and am unable to scan barcodes. It seems like the focus doesn’t work on them. I’m not talking about QR codes but barcodes with the thin lines. I used to use my phone a lot for work to scan barcodes and since I updated have been having to enter things manually. Is there a setting I’m unaware of or a fix for this?
I also have the iPhone 14 Pro and whenever I use a third-party app such as Amazon, New York, lotto or CVS, it will not scan a barcode is there any fix to this? Why has an apple added a bug fixed to this in an update it’s clearly a major problem.

The camera app that comes with your iPhone 14 Pro Max will only scan QR Codes and not barcodes. The standard barcodes can be scanned with the use of another app and its functions.
For example, you have to use the Walmart app to scan barcodes while shopping at Walmart.

iPhone 14 Pro Max don’t even scan QR codes each time you ask Siri to scan the QR code she go and give you information about a QR code online when that’s not what you asked her to do you say hey Siri scan QR code she like this is what I found on the web when that’s not even what you said
I've been repairing Apple phone for 17 years I had a customer come in for the exact same problem..
We replaced the camera and then it didn't work still...
I noticed that there was something in front of the lens from the outer lens that we had replaced previously..
It still didn't work after I changed the camera but when we went into the Sam's app it scanned the barcode perfectly immediately..
Considering that's where she uses the barcode he was fine with that My customer.
So take it to a local repair shop and let them replace the camera and it should work fine hopefully...
It doesn’t even do that it won’t scan anything not even a QR code
