How do I transfer pictures from an iPod Touch 1st generation to newer apple devices in 2023?

I have an iPod Touch 1st generation and pictures on it. However, I am not able to transfer these on any other apple devices (MacBookPro from 2013 and iMac 2019). I have already tried with iTunes and normal USB transfer, but my iPod does not see that I am connecting it to these devices. Can someone please tell me how to transfer pictures from an iPod Touch 1st generation to newer apple devices?

Since you mentioned that the iPod isn't detected by these devices, check out the steps here: If your computer doesn't recognize your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support While these steps are for iPhone and iPad, they will also work for iPod.
