Fidelity Investments Active Trader Pro Application

I have a Macbook Pro with the Apple M1 Pro chip and running macOS Venture 13.3.1. I have been unable to get Active Trader Pro to work on my computer. Fidelity claims it should work on my computer, but they have been unable to get it to do so. Can anyone out there tell me their experience - does it work or not work. It will help me figure out my next step. Thanks.

MacBook Pro 16″, macOS 13.3

that software is claimed to work, but appears to install a stub program, which then launches Installer to Install Crossover (a Windows emulator) and Microsoft NET. That all takes quite a while.

Once you get it to run, what you are running is an old Windows program inside a Windows Crossover/WineServer environment. That is likely to stop working every time MacOS shrugs. Then it will need to get fixed up again to work again (for a while.)

I suggest you tell Fidelity they need to do better to retain good customers like you.

Where did you get the app? App Store or did you side load it? For either, uninstall the app and reinstall it again. To be sure you're actually get as much as you can with uninstall, I use app AppCleaner. Free, safe and quick and does a good job.

Saying it should work is an opened ended comment of a sort. Lots of things should do lots of things but don't

Fidelity is responsible for making their app work with macOS, not the other way around.

Do you by chance have any fixers, optimizers, AV apps or anyhthing else billed as improving your Mac? They don't and they cause trouble more often that not.

I get a lot of clickable stuff on either an Internet or an Apple-silicon Mac, but it also puts up an Account login window, all Black (I use Light presentation), and will not do anything except system-beep sound if I try to do anything except log in to that floating window.

Could it be displaying that login window for you as well, but the window is obscured somehow?
