I am trying to pair my macbook air (M1 2020) monetery with my iphone 13. I get the same message after trying sudo kill, restarting, changing password. Not pairing not supported. Help please!

How do I pair my macbook air (Mi 2020) with my iphone 13 using bluetooth. I have tried starting and restarting. I have tried the sudo kill bluetoothd in the terminal. I get the same error message not supported. The macbook pairs with bose earpods. The iphone pairs with watch earpods well everything but my laptop. I am running Monterey

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 10.15

Bluetooth pairing an iPhone and a Mac is not supported. 

 

If you are attempting to use Handoff/Continuity or AirDrop, that does involve Bluetooth but the devices are NOT paired; Bluetooth just needs to be on and the devices in range of each other. The following may help with Handoff/Continuity issues: Use Continuity to connect your Mac, iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch - Apple Support
