He is using his own apple id, the same one he used for his last iphone he just upgraded.
with my new iphone i got the 3 months for news and 3 months for music and 3 months arcade
he bought new upgraded iphone got no news, one month music and 3 months arcade.
just found it weird the offers are different but he got new same iphone i did

I too saw the add in settings that included in the purchase is 3 months Apple TV but the next I got an invoice for £6.99. I was told by customer services that it was because I’d bought a new device a few years ago which also had 3 months free Apple TV I was not entitled to another but the add in settings does not say this, it says and this the quote:
“Apple TV+ Free for 3 Months
Included with your recent iPhone purchase.
Expires 05/01/2024.
I’m sorry Apple but this does not say it is a trial and only if you’ve never had one before and I believe this is false advertising
