Upi process could not complete

It was not possible to process the payment for Apple Developer Account through Upi. I am not receiving any payment request from apple to my upi app Does anybody had similar experience. Guide me if anybody completed the procedure with a similar issue.

Based on past reports around here, Apple Developer expects an email format Apple ID and not a mobile phone as an ID, and expects a well-known payment card associated with the Apple ID and not gift cards or Apple ID balance.


Looks like we get to add UPI to that nope list now, too. (At least for now.)


I expect this is to increase the costs and the difficulty of creating throw-away enrollments for malware, to detect attempts to evade an existing ban, and to comply with legal requirements including denied persons and denied parties.


How much of that background could be gleaned from a tie-in into UPI?
