apple notes: navigation is gone, cant go to folders.

Ive been trying to get notes to work for at least 10 years.

One of the most crippling problems is that when you open notes on a macbook, it shows the last item you edited, with no way to get back to see other items, or to create a new one. The UI only shows a single note.

This means you have to do everything in a very long single note.

If I open notes on my phone, I can create any number of notes, and navigate between them. notes on the phone has a "back" button in top left , which allows you to go back to "folders". This does not exist on macbook.

Why is this functionality not available on macbook?
