iMessage Trouble for ONE Contact

I have ONE client whose texts only (but not always) come to my computer's iMessage but NOT my phone (as a text). I know she has an iPhone. When I respond (on my computer) to her iMessages, my response is blue. On the occasions when her text does come across on my phone and I respond, it's green. I'm totally confused, and she's getting angry. I don't want to lose a client over this stupid, but significant, communication problem. HELP!

Hello WWolfRE,

Thank you for posting to Apple Support Communities.

We understand that you're having trouble with Messages. On your iPhone, let's be sure that your iPhone is up-to-date. Before updating, we recommend backing up your iPhone first. These articles can be of help. When you back up, you can back up using a Mac or PC rather than iCloud if you choose.

How to back up your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch

Update iOS on iPhone

Then, be sure that iMessage is set up correctly on your iPhone: Add or remove your phone number in Messages or FaceTime - Apple Support

Lastly, to be sure that your replies to an Apple device are sent in iMessage format, make sure that "Send as SMS" is disabled in Settings > Messages on your iPhone.

If you continue to have an issue, we then recommend contacting Apple Support: Get Support

Take care.
