Once your M1 MBP boots, just shut it down. Using a lightly moistened (water) microfiber cloth, rub it back and forth across the keys, even as your Mac detects keyboard activity and starts the booting process. By the time it has booted to a login screen, you should have had sufficient time to wipe down the keyboard. You can continue to do so with random characters appearing in the password window, and then when done, backspace those bogus characters from that window and login normally.
I just did this on my M1 MBP without issue.
