can't upgrade to ventura - internet error

I have Catalina installed, downloaded the Ventura upgrade just fine, however when installing it says I do not have an internet connection. All other browsers and internet connected apps work fine. I've rebooted, re downloaded, and now at a loss for what to do. My mac is an iMac Retina 5K 2020

Any ideas?
