why does my whatsapp call keeps on disconnecting when i turn off my phone?

If you turn off your phone it can’t connect to anything, let alone WhatsApp.

Unable to access other WhatsApp chats during a call after update I used to be able to make a WhatsApp call and while still on that call I could access all my WhatsApp messages and type replies to contacts. Since the new update I can make the call , look at WhatsApp for the contact I’m on the call with BUT there is no longer a bar with a left arrow that lets me access my other chats .
