Apple TV+ Buffering Constantly and only Apple TV+

We recently subscribed to Apple TV+

Other services we have:

Prime, Netflix, Max, Peacock, Paramount Plus, MLB.tv, and Hulu on none of them at anytime do we have a buffering issue. We watch in 4K and do so on multiple devices including: Apple TV, Nvidia Shield 2017 and 2019, and Roku Ultra. We use them at two different homes with internet service at both (separate of 940 down/40 up).

The only service we have had a buffering issue with is Apple TV+.

All of our devices are hard-wired to our router.

The buffering is showing right now even though our system is show full available bandwidth little to no jitter and very low (sub 20ms) latency.

The buffering occurs on all of our devices at various times. I have tried reinstalling the apps on these devices and the buffering will occur again after anywhere from a few minutes to a few days.

Apple TV+ buffering constantly on Windows 11 in 2024. No other streaming service or videos buffers like Apple TV+ or at all for me in my experience. I called customer service with the usual trouble shooting and trying to blame my 120mb. The lady customer service person got mad that I wasn’t falling for the Apple customer service gaslighting. She then said “you want to know the truth that no one likes when I tell them, Apple doesn’t play nice with Windows and that just the way it is”. It was shocking to hear. She then aggressively offered to cancel my subscription over the phone, ask several times in a pushy condescending way. This was while talking to her on my Iphone. I guess I’m not Apple cult enough to get respect or service from them. Anyways my next phone won’t be an IPhone and I’ll stick with PC ty.

We have tried numerous times on different Internet services all being gig speed cable Internet to do Apple TV. It lets the app load on our Sony Bravia TV but when we click a show it lags and I’m not talking a little bit. I’m talking full on freeze and start 10 minutes for the first part of the beginning of the show to actually load and we still didn’t hear anyone talking on it

Do your two Streaming Locations ever have both Streaming Systems operating simultaneously?


Your 'stated' Streaming BandWidth is in milli-bits(mb) which is Phone Line DialUp or DSL Bandwidth. I expect your BandWidth is Mega-bits(Mbps)


Any test of BandWidth 'is Suspect' depending on Time Of Day Viewing

Habits(in U.S. that's After Dinner and through evening hours) because a ISP Cable/FibreOptic Strand may be

Crowded with other Customer's Streaming. Put that together with ISP practice of auto routing 'BandWidth

Streaming Tests' over a 'little used' FibreOptic Strand and your Test simply reports the BandWidth on or near your Monthly BandWidth Bill.
