I was trying to download a file for a project, and a pop up came up. It said
“ATTENTION - Viruses found! Your iPhone is severely damaged by
(13) viruses! Soon your iPhone SIM card will be corrupt and it will damage your contacts, photos, data, applications, etc..”
should I be worried?

Report Items to Apple and Others:
This is a scam. So, report phone calls' and messages' info to Apple and Authorities. Use my User: Using the Photos App to Report Scams - User Tip

SCAM.....trying to trick you into buying useless software that will do nothing to help your phone....but it will help to line the pockets of the guys peddling this junk.
Dont worry, its just a notification which u can disable from the safari settings > websites > notification > and turn all the sus notifications off
