I keep getting a pop-up notification that appears to be from mcafee stating i have a virus. i think this is spam. how do i get rid of it?

A royal pain in the *** from MCAFEE obviously desperate to get me to sign with them. I just double checked my notifications saying BLOCKED. Hope this works; it's every **** time I open my laptop using Safari. I actually just sent them a big message via TWITTER to knock it off!!
