iPad Air 5th apple pencil 2 pointer control cursor

Trying to hitch ipad to external monitor

Photoshop, lightroom, davinci all funtional but no live cursor displayed on monitor

I have seen general/accessibility/pointer control on ipad pro video from 2years ago

Without cursor i have to look at and edit on ipad which defeats purpose of large monitor

I want the pen tip displayed on the large external monitor

Found nothing in pen settings

Am i supposed to hook up a wacom and "clam shell" equivalent the ipad

Does the current ipad pro support pointer control visible on the external monitor

When using an external monitor, presumably with Stage Manager enabled, you will need to use either an mouse or Apple Magic Trackpad. In so doing, you will be able to use full pointer control with your external display.

Obviously, your Apple Pencil (if you have one) can only interact with the iPad display - as the external display lacks the screen hardware with which the Pencil interacts with the screen.

Turn Stage Manager on or off on your iPad - Apple Support
