My Music from iTunes Recently I found out that Apple retired iTunes (I know - I should have payed attention). I spent a lot of money and I had a huge music collection. What did Apple do with my music files? I read several blogs and it talks about Apple Music and subscription - I never use it and don't care for it. So, question to APPLE - how can I have access to my music files so that I can download them and save and having to go through these headaches you guys are creating for us? Canceling apple music subscription and loosing my music If I cancel my subscription to apple music, I know I will lose the music I downloaded from apple music. My question is, what happens with the music I purchased through iTunes, and what about the music I recorded into iTunes with my own CDs? What about the playlists with this music? Will I loose these too? I need to clear space urgently so I am thinking about moving my iTunes music library to an external disk, so I thought of subscribing to apple music but I don't know if I am going to like it and I dont want to loose my music that took me years to input. Also there is music that is not published (mine) and only exist in my iTunes. Will I loose this too? Please help! Marcelo

If you have them on your computer and they are either ones you have from a personal source such as CDs, or you have purchased from Apple, they should remain on your computer. It is only the ones you have downloaded as part of the streaming subscription service that will be removed once your plan finishes.
