I have a 2TB USB drive, and I have recently removed a partition on that drive in order to have 1TB free, but when I try to write to the drive I get the following message:
"The operation can’t be completed because the disk “USB Time Machine Backups” is full."

How can I fix this?

A - A sure way to regain Full Drive capacity back, would to Reformat the Entire External Drive
Realize - this will remove ALL DATA from the Drive and it can not be recovered

FWIW, a Time Machine drive is read only despite whatever permissions are set. To erase/delete anything from the drive you would at least have to remove it from the Time Machine settings.
My partitioned drive indicating it is full when it is not.. how to fix?
