My table lamp has a 5V/DC 1a port built into it.
Is there a “transition” adapter to make this port accept both iPhone 7+ and iPad mini to charge them

If that is the power rating then there is no way to increase it with an adapter. Your supplied cables should plug into the USB socket. The power rating is a bit low and charging may be slower than using the Apple adapter and plugging into a wall socket.
